Life is Like a Camera: Focus on What is Important (My 2022 Year in Review)

This year has been one of my life’s worst and possibly best years. 2022 had no shortages of pain, suffering, anger, or hate; only to be followed up with reflection, forgiveness, faith, and love.

Every late December I post my “Year in Review” with merely a picture that best summarized each month. I leave nothing but the picture and the month. I let you, my faithful and newly-welcomed readers determine your thoughts on my life throughout the year, with a little backstory to follow.

A picture is worth a thousand words. I could write a novel about the year I had. Oh, wait, I did that (HELP! I’m Trapped in a Psych Ward and Can’t Get Out!). It was a wild summer, to say the least.

I went from living in Sparta, WI to Fredonia, WI to West Allis, WI all in a matter of six months. I went from being a funeral director, embalmer, life insurance agent, and poker player to… someone just trying to survive.

I was saved by my now beautiful wife in every way. I owe her my life, my heart, my soul, and my very best. I couldn’t be happier in life, in my career, in purpose, in faith, and in love.

As always, feel free to ask or comment away on each picture! I’d also love to see your pictures and hear about your year in review.

Cheers (non-alcoholic) to a happy and healthy 2023!
