Why Pain is More Important Than Feeling Good

Pain. It hurts. It’s uncomfortable. You’re sad. You cry. You hate it. You wish it on no one.

Not all pain is created equal, however.

Pain can be fleeting. It can carry with you for a lifetime. One person’s pain is another’s motivation. Subjective.

Without pain, there is no learning. Loving. No growth. No thoughts of getting better. Or achievement.

With pain, you tell yourself “this sucks,” and you never want to feel this again.

That is how you grow as a person, a friend, a lover, a stranger. You learn more from pain than you do from feeling good.
